Lee Anthony Nielsen Memorial Scholarship

General Information

The Lee A. Nielsen Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2011 by Elena B. Nielsen and Bonnie Jean Nielsen in honor of Elena’s husband and Bonnie Jean’s son who passed away in May 30, 1994 in an airplane accident. Lee had spent 10 years of his life living in the Philippines working for Dole Philippines, Inc... Two of his children were born in the Philippines and his second wife is a Filipina. Because of Lee’s long time connection with the Filipino Community, the Nielsen’s family decided to designate the Lee A. Nielsen Memorial Scholarship Fund to the Philippine American Association as the non-profit 501-C-3 organization that will screen, process, and make the selection of the deserving student as the recipient of this year’s Lee Anthony Nielsen Memorial Scholarship award.
